-Initiating Journal Entry Sequence-
After my friend Roarie came over to visit on Friday night and styled Hideki's hair for me, I realized that I want to bring him to PMX with me. Anime LA is his anniversary convention, so he was originally attending THAT, but I have since decided against that. In fact, my cosplay list for PMX is crazy, so Hideki might only get a little bit of "screen time" for this episode.
I'm hoping that ~Dal-Beauty09 will be attending as well and bringing Sora-chan with her so I can do a photo shoot of them together. I'm definitely buying the RBD outfit for Hideki, in which case I'll also wind up with the girl's clothing too, so that'll be Hideki's Hannukah present to Sora this year. YAY!
Anyhoo. I wound up removing Hideki's boots and discovering that he did stain a tiny bit on his heels. But I think I can clean that off so it's fine. I think I'll also wear something to match with Hideki's new clothes when I get them. ^w^

The differences between them and barbies include (but are not limited to): they have anatomically correct body structures, they are heavily influenced by Japanese pop culture, and they are customizable from head to toe -- literally! #3. WHY!?Because I'm a collector of BJDs and I like to show off my collection as well as the clothes and accessories I make for them. I also wanted to have a less-cluttered space on DeviantART for them because my main account is starting to get a bit crowded with everything else I like to do. #4. Who was your first BJDand why?Finally an intelligent question! My first BJD was a Taeyang from thevalleyofthedolls.com (although I ought him at the actual STORE, heh...) and I bought him on New Years Eve 2008. His model is HASH and we named him Hideki at first, because he looks a lot like Hide from X-Japan. Recently I renamed him Akihiko because his fiery red hair reminds me of autumn. And even MORE recently, his name changed back to Hideki because I think it sounds cooler. XD #5. So do people give the dolls names and personalities and back story too?I think it's really up to the personal preference of the owner, but I know I love to give them new names and personalities to match.
